This program is presented by an experienced construction and insurance faculty that includes both practitioners and consultants, utilizing a panel-based forum to encourage discussion and opportunities for audience participation through question and answer sessions.

Learn about the types and scope of insurance coverages available, common exclusions, eliminating gaps in coverage, and risk management strategies for advising clients on their insurance programs, as well as considerations for litigation of contested claims.

This program is designed to:

  • Provide a thorough understanding of the various insurances and considerations for assisting clients with ensuring their projects are adequately covered
  • Cover the common and uncommon issues and “traps for the unwary” in setting up insurance programs, drafting contract provisions and claiming coverage
  • Cover relevant areas of the extensive body of law surrounding construction insurances, including coverage triggers, coverage provisions, exclusions and recent litigation
  • Address ethical considerations and attorney malpractice risk avoidance strategies to construction practitioners
