One of the unique aspects of a construction law practice is the likelihood that you will handle cases involving numerous parties, often with cross-claims and third-party claims, as well as parties occasionally having multiple lawyers (one for the case and one for coverage).

Without proper planning and management, these cases can too often spiral out of control, with the deposition of a single witness taking months to complete as 10 different lawyers each ask their questions, on the 1 day per month they could each agree to be available.

In this CLE, we have organized an array of well-known and experienced construction lawyers, arbitrators and mediators to give you strategies to deal with these issues.

The program is designed to:

  • Analyze the evolution of a multi-party construction case, from initial contracts through mediation and arbitration or trial.
  • Cover issues regarding representing multiple parties, or advocating your case among the defendants while presenting a united front against the plaintiff.

Planned by the NCBA Construction Law Section
