This session covers the reasonable steps and the need to become cyber efficient in the modern practice of law.
A review of the current status of the legal and ethical best practices are covered as well as the practical technology solutions to address the issues. Up-to-date law firm reported breaches are also reviewed.
Next, attendees receive an introduction to the five basics of a protected practice: encryption, segmentation, multi-factor authentication, IPS firewalls and training with the overarching need to consider cyber as a managed service for the small to medium practices.
Finally, the need for security up and down the chain from the client to the deposition/e-discovery provider and co-counsel is discussed.
